Synopsis:

Authorizing a court in a temporary ex parte proceeding for relief from abuse to order the respondent to surrender firearms; authorizing in domestic violence cases an order to a respondent not to possess firearms; requiring a law enforcement officer to search for and seize firearms when court ordered; requiring information on retaking a firearm and safe storage of a firearm; allowing an owner to retake a firearm at the conclusion of proceedings; and providing penalties.
