Consumer Protection - Marine Repair Facilities

Synopsis:

Requiring a marine repair facility to provide a written statement that contains an estimate of repair costs, an estimated completion date, and an estimate of the surcharge, under specified circumstances; providing that a marine repair facility may charge a reasonable fee for making an estimate if the fee is disclosed to the customer before the estimate is made; prohibiting a marine repair facility from charging a customer an amount that exceeds the written estimate by a specified percentage; etc.
