Election Law - Deadlines for Filing Certificates of Candidacy - Extensions

Synopsis:

Extending the time frame for the filing of a certificate of candidacy before a primary election when an incumbent official dies within 7 days before the normal deadline; extending the filing deadline when an incumbent officeholder withdraws from the race following the normal filing deadline; and limiting the filing extension for certificates of candidacy and certificates of withdrawals to the date that the appropriate central committee must file a certificate of designation.
