Criminal Procedure - Sex Offender Registration - Retroactive Application

Synopsis:

Requiring the registration of sex offenders and other offenders subject to registration requirements to be applied retroactively to offenses committed before July 1, 1997, if the offender is under the custody or supervision of a supervising authority on October 1, 2000; requiring the registration of child sexual offenders who committed sexual offenses before October 1, 1995, if the offender is under the custody or supervision of a supervising authority on October 1, 2000; and making the Act severable.
