Income Tax - Preservation and Conservation Easements

Synopsis:

Allowing a credit against the State income tax for specified donations of land or an interest in land to the Maryland Environmental Trust; providing a subtraction modification under the Maryland income tax for gain recognized on the sale or other disposition of an easement or other interest in agricultural land to the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation; requiring that for purposes of the credit the fair market value of a donation be substantiated by a specified appraisal; etc.
