Sentencing - Revisory Power of the Court

Synopsis:

Restricting revisory power and control of courts over sentencing under specified circumstances; requiring the court to modify, reduce, correct, or vacate a sentence on the record and after notice to the parties and an opportunity for the parties to be heard; authorizing specified persons to file an application for leave to appeal to the Court of Special Appeals; and clarifying that specified actions are exempted from the Act.
