Department of Human Resources - Reducing Caseloads in Foster Care and Protective Services

Synopsis:

Requiring the Governor to provide additional staff and budgetary resources to achieve appropriate staff-to-caseload ratio reductions in Child Protective Services, Family Preservation, Foster Care, Kinship Care, and Preadoption Cases; requiring the Department of Human Resources to employ sufficient qualified personnel to achieve the caseload reductions; requiring reports to the General Assembly on a semiannual basis through January 2004; etc.
