Public Schools - Class Size Reduction - Smart Growth - Pilot Program

Synopsis:

Establishing a pilot program to limit to 17 or fewer students the class size in six locally designated growth areas for kindergarten through grade 3 in core curriculum classes; requiring the Department of Education to solicit plans from county boards of education; authorizing a county board to submit a class size reduction plan to the Department by specified dates; requiring the Department to select plans for implementation under specified criteria by specified dates; etc.
