Health - Reused Single-Use Medical Devices - Patient Consent Required

Synopsis:

Requiring a hospital to provide a patient, on admission or registration, a written notice, a separate document in plain language and approved by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, that describes the practices of the hospital regarding reused single-use medical devices and the potential risk of using the devices, and also provides the patient an opportunity to provide or refuse to consent to the use of the devices on the patient; etc.
