Public Safety - Parole and Mandatory Supervision - Diminution Credits and Sentences

Synopsis:

Prohibiting application of diminution credits to inmates' terms of confinement for inmates sentenced to imprisonment for crimes committed while on mandatory supervision; clarifying that inmates may not be awarded diminution credits on sentences after mandatory supervision has been revoked; providing that a sentence imposed consecutive to a term of confinement for which the defendant is on parole begins on expiration of the original term of confinement if parole is subsequently revoked; and applying the Act prospectively.
