Education - Certification Requirements for Teachers - Heimlich Maneuver and CPR Training

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the State Superintendent of Schools from issuing a teacher certificate to an individual unless the individual has completed training in the Heimlich maneuver and cardiopulmonary resuscitation ; requiring the individual to obtain training from a person approved by the State Superintendent and to provide the State Superintendent with documentation of training completion; requiring a county board to reimburse specified costs to specified individuals; exempting specified individuals from liability, subject to conditions; etc.
