Administrative Penalties and Cost Recovery - Air Quality and Radiation

Synopsis:

Increasing the maximum penalty that MDE may impose for a violation of specified laws relating to air quality; repealing the cap on penalties that may be assessed at a single administrative hearing for specified air quality violations; allowing the Maryland Clean Air Fund and the State Radiation Control Fund to be used to respond to releases or potential releases of air pollutants or radiation, respectively; providing for reimbursement of those funds by responsible persons; etc.
