Physicians - Default on Federal Education Loans or Service Obligations - Penalties

Synopsis:

Requiring the State Board of Physician Quality Assurance to suspend a physician's license if the physician defaults on a federal or State education loan or on an obligation to a service scholarship program; requiring the Board to send the physician notice of the Board's intention to suspend at least 6 months before the suspension; allowing the physician who has received notice of suspension to request a hearing and to make arrangements for repayment of a defaulted loan or satisfaction of a service obligation within 6 months; etc.
