Synopsis:

Altering the period of probationary employment for certificated employees from 2 years to 3 years; providing for the extension of the probationary period to a fourth year if tenure is not granted at the end of the third year; assigning a mentor during the fourth year extension of the probationary period; requiring the State Board of Education to adopt regulations implementing the provisions of the Act; etc.
