Environment - Brominated Flame Retardants - Pentabrominated and Octabrominated Diphenyl Ether - Prohibition

Synopsis:

Prohibiting, on or after October 1, 2008, the manufacture, processing, sale, or distribution in the State of a new product or flame-retardant part of a new product that contains more than a specified amount of penta- or octa-brominated diphenyl ether; providing that the prohibition does not apply to specified processing of specified recyclables or specified manufacturer replacement service parts or other products; etc.
