Creation of a State Debt - Dorchester County - Hooper-Henry Educational Center

Synopsis:

Authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $80,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the St. Luke United Methodist Church for the renovation, reconstruction, capital equipping, and conversion of the recipient's current facility, which will serve as a community educational center located in Cambridge; providing for disbursement of the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that the grantee provide and expend a matching fund; prohibiting the use of the proceeds of the bond sales or the matching fund for sectarian religious purposes; etc.
