Entitled:
Repeal of Tax Subsidies for Purchase of Maryland-Mined Coal - Dedication of Revenue to Program Open Space

Synopsis:

Repealing specified tax subsidies given to specified public service companies, electricity suppliers, and cogenerators for the purchase of Maryland-mined coal; requiring the State Department of Assessments and Taxation to distribute $14,700,000 of the revenue to a special fund to be allocated to Program Open Space and specified programs and funds; and providing for the application of the Act to tax years after 2004.
