Maryland Transportation Authority - Revenue Bond Restrictions

Synopsis:

Repealing the prohibition on the issuance of bonds by the Maryland Transportation Authority to finance a transportation facilities project without legislative approval of the General Assembly; requiring the General Assembly to establish each year the maximum aggregate amount of debt outstanding of the Authority; authorizing the Authority to increase, if specified conditions are met, the amount of its debt outstanding by not more than a specified amount above the maximum amount; etc.
