Synopsis:

Increasing from 6 to 8 the number of appointed members of the Maryland Transportation Authority; prohibiting an appointed member of the Authority from being an employee of the Executive Branch of the State government; altering from 3 years to 2 years the term of an appointed member of the Authority; limiting the number of terms that an appointed member of the Authority may serve; and providing for the application of the Act.
