Police Officer Protection Act of 2006

Synopsis:

Requiring a dealer or other person who sells or transfers a regulated firearm to notify a purchaser or recipient at the time of purchase or transfer that the purchaser or recipient is required to report a lost or stolen regulated firearm to the local law enforcement agency; requiring the owner of the regulated firearm to report within 48 hours after discovering the loss or theft; etc.
