Prescription Safety Act

Synopsis:

Authorizing electronic transmission of prescriptions; requiring a prescription to contain specified elements; requiring health occupation boards to ensure compliance with prescription requirements; requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to work with the health occupation boards and health practitioner professional associations to provide education regarding prescription requirements; requiring the health occupation boards to provide continuing education credits; etc.
