Requiring hospitals and nursing facilities to establish a health care-associated infection and control program; requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, in consultation with specified groups and stakeholders, to develop a system regarding the reporting of specified health care-associated infections; requiring DHMH to make a specified report to specified committees of the General Assembly on or before December 1, 2006; etc.
