Minimum Wage - Constitutional Right and Provisions

Synopsis:

Proposing an addition to the Maryland Constitution to specify that there is a minimum wage rate in Maryland, as set by the General Assembly; requiring the Commissioner of Labor and Industry, or the Commissioner's successor, to annually adjust the minimum wage rate to account for inflation in a manner established by the Commissioner or the Commissioner's successor; and submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection.
