Horse Racing - Study on Making Maryland Horse Industry More Competitive

Synopsis:

Requiring the Secretary of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation to contract for an outside consultant to conduct a study on what steps should be taken to make the horse industry in the State more competitive with the horse industry in neighboring states; listing specified topics that the study shall address; requiring the Governor to include $250,000 in the State budget for the study in fiscal year 2008; requiring the Secretary to report to the Legislative Policy Committee on or before January 1, 2008; etc.
