Creation of a State Debt - Maryland Affordable Housing Trust

Synopsis:

Authorizing the creation of a State Debt in the amount of $3,000,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Affordable Housing Trust, Inc. to be used for awards to help acquire, build, rehabilitate, and preserve affordable housing and to help nonprofit organizations develop affordable housing; providing for disbursement of the loan proceeds; establishing a deadline for the encumbrance or expenditure of the loan proceeds; etc.
