Synopsis:

Requiring licensure by the Maryland Insurance Commissioner of bail bondsmen except for property bondsmen; authorizing the Commissioner to take specified disciplinary action in connection with specified violations; authorizing a premium finance company to finance bail bonds under specified circumstances; requiring the Commissioner to adopt regulations regarding the premium financing of bail bonds; defining the scope of specified provisions; providing for the repeal of laws inconsistent with the Act; etc.
