Public Health - Advance Directives - Procedures, Information Sheet, and Use of Electronic Advance Directives

Synopsis:Providing that any authentic expression made by an individual while competent of the individual's wishes regarding health care for the individual be considered in the absence of a validly executed or witnessed advance directive; providing that a witness to an electronic advance directive is not required; establishing an Advance Directive Program in the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; requiring the Department to encourage the use of electronic advance directives and provide outreach services to increase public awareness; etc.
