In the Senate - Unfavorable Report by Judicial Proceedings

Synopsis:Prohibiting a person from intentionally causing physical injury to another if the person knows or has reason to know that the other is a firefighter, an emergency medical technician, a rescue squad member, or any other first responder engaged in providing emergency medical care or rescue services; and increasing penalties for assaulting specified individuals from 10 up to 15 years imprisonment or a fine not to exceed $5,000 or both.
