College and Career Readiness Act of 2010

Synopsis:

Requiring specified State agencies, in consultation with institutions of higher education, to adopt a definition of college and career readiness; requiring the adoption of a common assessment and benchmarks to show progress toward college readiness; requiring strategies and curricula to be developed and implemented to ensure students are college ready and are successful in college; making specified provisions of the Act contingent on the receipt of specified funds; etc.
