General Assembly - Filling of Vacancy by Special Election

Synopsis:

Providing that a vacancy in the House of Delegates or Senate of Maryland occurring prior to the second year of a member's term shall be filled by a special election to coincide with the next ensuing regular congressional election; establishing procedures for the special election; and submitting the amendment to the qualified voters of the State for their adoption or rejection.
