Crimes of Violence - Burglary and Daytime Housebreaking - Exceptions

Synopsis:

Providing that defendants convicted of burglary or daytime housebreaking before October 1, 1994 and are serving a mandatory sentence may petition a court for and be granted a reduction in sentence and are eligible for parole; providing that the Act does not apply to defendants convicted of offenses other than burglary or daytime housebreaking who are serving mandatory sentences, regardless of whether any predicate offenses used were burglary or daytime housebreaking; etc.
