Vehicle Laws - Sale of a Damaged Vehicle - Notation on Certificate of Title

Synopsis:

Requiring a dealer selling, transferring, or disposing of a vehicle that has been damaged and required at least $1,000 in repairs to attach to the certificate of title a signed statement conveying this information to the Motor Vehicle Administration; and requiring the Administration to place a notation appropriate to convey this information to the new owner of the vehicle on a new certificate of title it issues.
