Synopsis:

Authorizing nurses to exercise professional judgment by providing grounds for disciplining a supervisory nurse directing another nurse to perform an act or take an assignment that the nurse has refused; creating an exception for emergencies under which the nurse should do the act or accept the assignment; authorizing a person to create and a Health Occupations board to approve nurse performance protocols; exempting a person in compliance with a performance protocol from a specified disciplinary provision; etc.
