Synopsis:

Reducing or eliminating construction costs of new or expanded schools by authorizing county boards of education to offer parents or guardians of public school students in overcrowded schools the option of attending a nonpublic school; requiring notification by county boards to nonpublic schools in cases of projected overcrowding; requiring those boards to furnish specified information when offering students the option of attending a nonpublic school; establishing requirements for students who volunteer for nonpublic placement; etc.
