Synopsis:

Requiring health insurers, including health maintenance organizations, to give health care providers the opportunity to seek a reconsideration or appeal of the insurer's or health maintenance organization's determination to refuse to pay a claim or portion of a claim for reimbursement; prohibiting health insurers from terminating a provider from the insurer's provider panel because the provider sought a reconsideration or appeal of the insurer's refusal to pay a claim or portion of a claim; etc.
