Motor Vehicle Insurance - Rate Reduction - Defensive Driving Course

Synopsis:

Requiring insurers to provide a minimum 5% reduction in rates for motor vehicle personal injury, property damage, and collision coverage to an insured 55 years old or older who successfully completes a specified defensive driving course; specifying the requirements for claiming a rate reduction; authorizing an insurer not to provide a rate reduction under specified circumstances; limiting the effect of the rate reduction to 36 months; establishing conditions for renewal of the rate reduction; etc.
