Synopsis:

Establishing standards for law enforcement officers when making searches or arrests; allowing reasonable force to be used, but not more force than is necessary; requiring an officer to knock on a door, announce the officer's identity, and display a search warrant, if applicable, when searching a residence; requiring that searches be conducted to minimize intrusions and property damage; requiring an officer to make known that the officer is acting in an official capacity when making an arrest; etc.
