Standby Guardian - Parental Designation

Synopsis:

Restricting the scope of the authority of a standby guardian designated by a parent of a minor child to extend only to guardianship of the person of the minor child; authorizing a person designated as standby guardian to become guardian of the property of a minor child only upon appointment by a court; and reducing from 180 to 90 days the time period, after the beginning of a standby guardianship, within which the standby guardian must petition for judicial appointment.
