Synopsis:

Expanding the jurisdictions included in the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Zone; altering the appointment process of the District of Columbia for members of the Board of Directors of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA); altering the procedural requirements for the Board to act; and repealing a requirement for congressional approval for the District of Columbia to create obligations in order to commit to the Authority by contract.
