Crimes and Punishments - Code Grabbing Devices - Prohibited

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from manufacturing, selling, using, or possessing a code grabbing device with the intent of using it in the commission of a crime; defining a "code grabbing device" as a device that is capable of receiving and recording the coded signal sent by the transmitter of an electronic security system and playing back the signal to disarm the system; and imposing a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both as a penalty for violation of the Act.
