Impoundment
Requiring a court to order the impoundment or immobilization of a
vehicle driven by a person whose license was suspended or revoked for
drunk driving; setting the length of the impoundment or immobilization
period; requiring the owner to pay all impoundment and storage or
immobilization costs; requiring the person in possession of a vehicle
impounded or immobilized under the Act to return the vehicle or
restore its use to the registered owner; and authorizing a court to
decline to order an impoundment under certain circumstances.
