Statute of Repose - Durable Goods

Synopsis:

Providing that a product liability action for harm caused by a durable good shall be barred unless the complaint is filed within the earlier of 15 years after the date of sale, lease, or delivery to the initial consumer or 18 years after the date of manufacture; providing that a product liability action against a person who made an express written warranty shall be barred unless the complaint is filed before the expiration of the warranty; and excluding actions resulting solely from exposure to asbestos or lead paint.
