Synopsis:

Authorizing the head administrative officer of a county and municipal correctional facility to designate correctional officers employed by the facility to have the power to make arrests; establishing a certain exception; specifying the arrest powers for correctional officers designated by the head administrative officer under the Act; and requiring correctional officers empowered to make arrests under the Act to meet certain qualifications.
