General Assembly - Term Limits

Synopsis:

Limiting the number of consecutive terms that an individual may serve in the House of Delegates and the Senate of Maryland; prohibiting a member of the Senate of Maryland from standing for election to the House of Delegates immediately upon completion of a specified number of terms in the Senate, except under specified circumstances; limiting to six the cumulative number of terms that an individual may serve in the General Assembly during a lifetime; and submitting this amendment to the qualified voters of the State for their adoption or rejection.
