Senatorial and House of Delegates Scholarship Programs - Abolition

Synopsis:

Abolishing the Senatorial Scholarship and House of Delegates Scholarship Programs; permitting the recipients of legislative scholarships that are made before October 1, 1996 to continue to receive those awards under specified conditions; prohibiting the Governor from including new appropriations in the State budget for the legislative scholarship program under specified circumstances; and transferring appropriated but unexpended scholarship funds in the Programs, after a certain date, to the General Fund.
