Education - Public Schools - Suspension of Students by Teachers

Synopsis:

Authorizing public school teachers to suspend violent or disruptive students for not more than a specified number of school days; requiring teachers who suspend students to submit a certain report; permitting a student or the parent or guardian of a student who is suspended by a teacher to appeal the suspension to the county board of education and a school principal; requiring the board and the principal to hold a hearing and make a decision within a specified number of days; etc.
