Bus Drivers - Independent Contractor and Covered Employment Status

Synopsis:

Providing that a bus driver is an independent contractor and is not a covered employee for both unemployment insurance and workers' compensation purposes if the bus driver owns, rents, or leases the bus used to transport passengers in the bus driver's own name or in the name of an entity that the bus driver owns or partly owns.
