Handguns - Use in Commission of a Felony or Crime of Violence - Mandatory Sentence

Synopsis:

Altering the sentence imposed for the use of a handgun or a specified antique firearm in the commission of a felony or a crime of violence; eliminating the distinction between first offenses and subsequent offenses; requiring that the sentence be served consecutively to any other sentence imposed; and making a person who commits the offense of the use of a handgun or specified antique firearm in the commission of a felony or crime of violence ineligible for parole for 5 years.
