Adoption - Consent of Natural Parents - Parental Responsibility

Synopsis:

Providing that provisions of law relating to adoption shall be construed liberally to further the best interests of the child; specifying that the natural father of an individual may be identified by the natural mother on an application for public assistance or in a written, sworn statement; providing that an individual may be adopted without the consent of a natural parent under specified circumstances; and providing that a court is not required to make specified findings in determining whether a natural parent's consent is required.
