Abandoned Property - Presumption of Abandonment

Synopsis:

Altering from 5 years to 10 years the amount of time that must pass before the contents of specified bank accounts, checks, insurance funds, funds held by a utility, securities, specified types of intangible personal property, and unclaimed wages are presumed to be abandoned; and altering the number of dividends, distributions, and other sums that must be offered to be paid to owners of certain securities before the securities may be considered abandoned.
